I am always looking for continuous improvement and to further my knowledge as a business leader and General Manager. I first heard about the opportunities offered through the Industry Leaders Fund (ILF) when I met Geoff Vogt at an Industry function. Geoff walked me through the process of application and some of the previous Scholars. The Scholars were a rich tapestry of industry sectors and personalities.
Geoff assisted me with my application and I was fortunate enough to be awarded the funding. I attended the AICD course, which I found very valuable and relevant to my current role.
It was a very intense week of learning however the presenters were exceptional and made the learning interactive and enjoyable.
Since completing the course I have put many of the items that I learnt into practice, real time things like RISK Appetite Management and understanding the ROLE of the Board.
The ILF Scholars network is an enjoyable part of the process that provides excellent networking opportunities, continuous improvement opportunities through workshops and so much more. I feel very privileged to be involved in the program.
