Redarc has struck an agreement to manufacture new satellite-connected mining exploration products developed by Adelaide-based space company Fleet Space Technologies. Fleet Space’s ExoSphere technology was launched last year, using ‘ambient noise tomography’ and the company’s constellation of small satellites, to provide near real-time remote access to 3D survey results.

Redarc managing director Anthony Kittel said the company had already begun manufacturing a large order of units amid a high level of demand from mining companies across the world.

Redarc executive general manager Scott Begbie, who heads up the defence and space division, said 15c in every sales dollar generated by Redarc was invested back into innovation, and that had enabled a continuous upgrading of the technology and automation in use across its manufacturing and testing facilities.
