The Barossa wineries released data from Vivino today, showing that Rob Gibson of Gibson Wines and Ben Glaetzer of Glaetzer Wines have begun 2024 on equal standing on the top of Vivino’s user ratings.
Gibson’s 2008 Bin 60 Cabernet Shiraz and Glaetzer’s 2018 Eye of Rã Shiraz share the top spot with French-made 2019 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Not for You! by Pierre Usseglio, of which just one barrel is made, and costs AUD $715 a bottle.
Vivino, which claims to be the most downloaded wine app globally, allows people to scan wine labels to see reviews and get more information about a wine and its makers. Both Barossa wines received 4.8 out of 5 stars to take out the top spot among 17.3 million wines listed on the app.
