I first learned about the Industry Leaders Fund through former CEO Geoff Vogt and was encouraged to apply by Patritti owner and Director Ines Patritti. I was honoured to receive an ILF scholarship in 2022 to commence an MBA at the University of South Australia. That was a deliberate choice owing to its strong reputation, local delivery and the opportunity to build meaningful connections with other South Australian business leaders. The embedment of the AICD course within the MBA curriculum was also a key attraction.
In 2020, I was appointed as the first non-family General Manager of G. Patritti & Co Pty Ltd. Coming from a technical agriculture and viticulture background, and without significant formal management training, the MBA provided critical business knowledge to support my practical leadership experience. The program strengthened my capability across strategy, finance, people management and ESG, all of which I have applied directly in the workplace.
I am extremely grateful to the Industry Leaders Fund and the Patritti family for their support, and proud to be part of the ILF scholar network contributing to business leadership in South Australia.
