Brenton Cooper (Dr) (ILF2022)

LinkedIn

Institution: Stanford Graduate School of Business, USA
Course: Executive Program for Growing Companies

I was introduced to the Industry Leaders Fund by former CEO Geoff Voigt after Fivecast successfully won the IMPACT award in 2022.

As CEO of a fast growing startup, I was constantly being presented with new challenges and opportunities across the whole business – customers, competition, products, partners, team members and investors. Faced with these challenges and opportunities, but having had little formal training, in business,  I seized the opportunity to apply for the ILF Scholarship.

In August 2023, I attended Stanford Graduate School of Business and completed the Executive Program for Growing Companies. It was a fabulous opportunity to attend a world leading business school right in the heart of Silicon Valley, and learn from the best about culture, strategy, communication, and competition. Aside from the formal coursework, the overwhelming benefit was developing a network of 75+ global CEOs operating in vastly different markets but all with remarkably similar challenges. This network continues to provide me with opportunities to learn from their shared experience, to seek advice and derive inspiration.

Having completed the Executive Program for Growing Companies at Stanford, I am now better equipped to navigate the next phase of growth for FIvecast, and look forward to continue building a global business right here in South Australia.
