After successfully applying for an IFL grant, I had the pleasure and good fortune of studying the International Director Programme (IDP) at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France in 2016.
Following the completion of the acquisition of my company by Clearswift I investigated options in regard to personal development and discovered at an Industry Leaders Fund (ILF) information session the business school, INSEAD. INSEAD is a world-renowned business school and the IDP is their flagship corporate governance course, and the Financial Times has awarded it the “World’s number 1” ranked MBA programme in 2016 and 2017. Having worked extensively with cyber security companies in the US, and hoping to further my international business experience, I decided INSEAD was a great fit.
The opportunity to study at such a well-regarded business school was too good to pass up and the programme exceeded my expectations. In addition to the targeted education objectives of board effectiveness and dynamics; board decision-making and oversight; and director effectiveness and development, it was a great opportunity to meet and collaborate with high quality individuals from around the globe. The programme faculty were of exceptional quality and experience and gave unique insights from a global perspective.
Continued contact with my programme cohorts and the broader INSEAD alumni, along with access to various INSEAD resources, provides ongoing value. This, combined with all the benefits the ILF network and value added events and training that ILF provide, give me many reasons to recommend the ILF grant to anyone seeking assistance to build their business in South Australia.
