I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Industry Leaders Fund (ILF) and its former CEO, Mr. Geoff Vogt. The ILF, through its generous support, granted me a life-changing opportunity that has left an indelible mark on my professional and personal journey.
Thanks to the ILF scholarship, I had the privilege of attending the Oxford University’s prestigious Oxford Advanced Management and Leadership Program (OAMLP). This intensive three-week program, held at the historic Oxford campus in England, was a transformative experience that I will forever hold in high regard.
Throughout my time at OAMLP, I had the distinct honour of learning alongside 47 accomplished CEOs and leaders from 23 different countries. The diversity of perspectives and backgrounds within the cohort expanded my horizons in ways I could have never foreseen. The program’s focus on strategic alignment, re-alignment of business strategies, transformational leadership techniques, and addressing the challenges of our globalized world provided me with invaluable insights into leadership, strategic management, and future business opportunities.
From a personal perspective, the OAMLP ignited a renewed passion for learning and personal growth within me. The program emphasized the importance of self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and ethical leadership, qualities that I now hold dear in my professional and personal life.
As a direct result of the OAMLP, my company, Trymoss Engineering, is poised for remarkable transformation. We are actively exploring opportunities to diversify into educational avenues and harness innovative technologies to tap into global markets. The network I built during the program has already proven to be a priceless asset, facilitating new opportunities and collaborations for Trymoss Engineering.
However, what truly made the OAMLP a life-altering experience was the profound sense of camaraderie within the cohort. The relationships formed during our time at Oxford have enriched my personal life and expanded my professional horizons. The connections established with like-minded individuals have not only fostered personal growth but have also translated into new business opportunities.
Inspired by the OAMLP, I am now considering pursuing an MBA to further develop my leadership skills and knowledge. The ILF’s support has ignited a lifelong passion for learning and personal development that I intend to pursue with unwavering commitment.
