Transformative Leadership Program
Thank you to the ILF for granting me with financial support which enabled me to undertake the most transformative development programs in my life so far.
It was thanks to the ILF and my employer McLaren Vintners that enabled me to undertake the Transformative Leadership Program (TLP) via the University of Adelaide (PACE). Former ILF CEO Geoff Vogt was instrumental in helping to guide me through the various opportunities and thanks to his advice and the support of my employer, I was able to undertake the TLP program in 2023.
Throughout my TLP journey, I had the opportunity to work alongside twelve other amazing professionals, who all brought valuable and insightful perspectives to the program. We were fortunate to be able to head to Singapore for one week as one of our intensive components. This was instrumental in forming strong bonds within the group which enabled us to delve deep into the various learning frameworks. The program has unlocked a new way of thinking, and I now approach issues with a newfound sense of calm and curiosity.
When I first set out on this journey, I underestimated the value in being part of an elite network of fellow South Australians through the ILF. Only one year later I have already reaped the rewards of attending various ILF training and networking events which has been extremely valuable to me professionally.
This transformative training has also changed the way I view situations within my life personally. It has enable me to understand why people (including myself) behave in certain ways which has allowed me to be more understanding and patient. The program has given me the confidence to know that I am capable of providing more value to my organization and has inspired me to reach higher.
Our organization has already started to see some positive changes as a result of this program. Management meetings are now more focused on better defining issues in order to identify which issues are complicated which can be ‘’fixed’’ with skill and expertise, and which of those issues are complex requiring constant progress, care and perspective. We as a management team are focused on creating an environment which encourages and promotes innovation in a bid to build on our adaptive capacity.
In summary I would like to again thank the ILF for this life changing opportunity and for any South Australians who are already succeeding but know that they are capable of more, I would strongly recommend becoming an ILF scholar and pursuing further education.
